Game of the Week Review:
Austin put on quite the performance this week absolutely dominating the SC leading STP. Outscoring the Apostles 27-10 the highlight of the series was the 12-4 win that gave the Outlaws momentum that they were able to use to sweep this series. With the sweep they increased their playoff chances by 30 percent! A very important series for the Outlaws especially with SF being the only opponent with a winning record left on the schedule. This is a second straight sweep for Austin, 8-0 in September, riding the power bat of Jim Hodge like they have all season he has 5 HR so far this month.

Injuires:
Brooklyn 2B Eddie Rivera headlines the injuries this week needing to sit out for a few weeks with a sprained thumb he will have a friend on the DL as potential All-Star Doug Hoobler has a strained Abdominal Muscle.

Game of the Week OOTP Recap:
The Austin Outlaws cruised to a 12-4 win over the St. Paul Apostles at Violet Crown Field today. Jim Hodges led the way, going 3-for-5 for Austin. The 6th-place Outlaws have won 7 in a row.

Austin took the lead in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Dave Sacco stroked a 2-run double to make it 6-4, Outlaws.

“I like seeing our guys get a return on what they’ve put in,” said Austin manager Brad Knoper.
