Game of the Week Review:
Back at Grinders Ground, the Oilers met up with their storied JC rival yet again for 2nd matchup of the season. The series was a split and the games close as can be as the two teams work on shaping up into playoff form that both GMs expect from their players each year. PIT taking two games, however we know GM Mike Wolfe was not happy about the 9-3 lose they suffered in game 2, giving up 6 runs in the 10th inning. Tom Waltz surrendered 5 of the runs in t he 10th without securing an out. The two teams sit at first and second, Pit with the better home record and OC with the better away record.

Big injury this week to star STP SP Jimmy Forbes, who will be out several months with an elbow injury, also ELP LF Aaron Kissane and PIT RF Bill Monson will miss a few weeks with shoulder and finger injuries.
Game of the Week OOTP Recap:
Oil City starter R.J. Villano pitched effectively against the Pittsburgh Grinders at Grinders Grounds. The right-hander led his team to a 9-3 win. Oil City reliever Brandon Schumacher was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Tommy Waltz took the loss. Oil City is now 28-18, while Pittsburgh is 29-17.
The most important at-bat for Oil City came in the top of the tenth inning, when right fielder Ben Caprio stroked a full count fastball to center for a run-scoring single, putting Oil City up, 4-3.
“The name of the game is scoring runs,” Caprio said. “We did a pretty good job of that today.”
