ELP vs SEA

Game of the Week Review.

This week SEA-ELP played an 18 inning intense marathon of a game that ended with ELP taking their first game of the series. 11 total pitchers, 5 pinch hitters, and 4 defensive substitutions. A total of 21 batters were left-on-base by both teams, SEA Mike Palmer went 0-8 and left 7 on base by himself. Aaron Kissane and Mark Williams both set a single game record ELP record for At-Bats in a game.

Injuries:

Pittsburgh struggles to field competition or healthy OF after Cho demotion and now Salvador missing time, Pitt will likely hit the trade market. AUS loses Carlos Ramos which leaves a big hole in their lineup after his productive season so far ends abruptly. SEA loses young SS Sabala for a couple weeks leaving them slim at MI.

Game of the Week OOTP Recap:

The El Paso Diablos picked up a win at Whataburger Field, knocking off the Seattle Metros, 6-5. On the mound for El Paso was right-hander Elliott Edick, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Diablos saw their record improve to 18-18.

El Paso’s win came gift-wrapped. With one out in the bottom of the 18th, with the game tied, Richard Barbe reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run.

Barbe said this kind of win gives the team “a buzz.”
